Note: This is a showing of all aspects I was responsible for during the production of  "The One." All collaborative aspects will be specified.

The One

"The One" is a group thesis film created by Ellery Stocker (@zinnabon) and I!

a Bachelorette-parody where Carter, the sexy med student, must compete against MDW for the hand of Kenzie, the bachelorette. However, MDW isn't like other guys....he's a 30ft-long deathworm. Will Carter be able to survive long enough to find the true love he's been looking for?

"The One" has not been publicly released and is password-protected for judges and recruiters.

Below will show my responsibilities and contributions to the production of the film

Character Production

I was responsible for the modeling, rigging, and texturing for our two human characters and the texturing and rigging of MDW.

Ellery Stocker is responsible for the character design of Carter and MDW, modeling and weight-painting of MDW, geohair of the two human characters, and the XGen of all characters

Character LineUp.

MDW was our biggest technical challenge. Being a fictional monster, I referenced a variety of different animals and monsters to achieve his look and his rig. We looked to lobsters, beetles, snakes, leeches, worms, and the creatures in Netflix's The Sea Beast.

Ellery Stocker is responsible for MDW's model.

Set and Asset Production

As lead environment, prop, and surfacing artist, I worked hard on creating a consistent look for the film's surfacing and modeling style. I took inspiration from The Bachelorette and loosely Pixar's Luca.

All sets and most props were modeled, UVed, rigged, and textured by me.

Ellery Stocker is responsible for the Rose 3d model featured in the film.

Lighting and Compositing

I was the lead artist for all lighting and compositing for this film. In collaboration with Ellery, we developed concept color keys and using a collection of reference I was able to create the lighting that highlighted the characters as well as the tone of the scenes.
