Those are some of my favorite works. The radio and axe are a more traditional approach using Normal Map Baking. The spaceship interior uses a similar approach to the one used in Star Citizen and Aliens Isolation.
Scifi Cargo Bay Interior
Spaceship interior concept and asset development based on the Star Citizen Universe.
I took a lot of inspiration on several ships on Star Citizen but mainly on the MISC Starfarer.
I used Medium Poly modeling with Vertex Weighted Normals and a mix of Trim Sheets and Parallax Occlusion Mapping decals to replicate the technique used on Star Citizen while using Unreal Engine 4.
