This is my entry for The Rookies challenge! After about 3 weeks I am done. Everything in the scene was made by me. Learned a lot and I'm looking forward to hearing any feedback.

My final scene. Three weeks later and I'm done! All the assets in this scene were made by me. Final render in Unreal 4.

Materials made in substance designer

Some of these assets were tough for me. To make the wood look burned was a great challenge. I don't think I pulled it off. Also the bumps on the manhole were a bit of a trick. I think those turned out well.

The window and the vent were made using the same trim texture. Next time I would add more beveled edges on the models and maybe use a 4k map if the information was going to be spread out so much.

I think this is my most successful asset. I tried to focus on small details about the story of this object.

And my weakest one! I think i did not get enough texel density on this one. I made 2 modular squares and stuck them on a 2k map with overlapping uvs on the stairs. Then the squares were duplicated post texturing. This results in low detail and repetition. Lucky i place it in a hard to see spot, so the silhouette is doing all the work.

These decals were fun and easy to make! Listen to some tunes and sculpt in zbrush. Marmoset didn't like my blended alpha channel though. Don't know how to make decals look nice in marmoset.

Some of my process on the scene. Didn't think to take shots until halfway through. Had a lot of fun on this project.
