3D Modeling Showcase | Rookie Awards 2024

Hi Im Zi Xian, Animation student from The one Academy. I will like to show you 3 of my 3D project I have done in  my college. The first one will be environment modeling!

Second, I would like to share with you my first hard surface project after I done the environment modeling. This is a 7 weeks project. 

15cm schwere Feldhaubitze 18.

It was the basic German division-level heavy howitzer of 149mm during the Second World War

Next, I would like to show you my first character modeling. He is Ansel Elgort from Baby Driver. I done this during my year3 semester. During this 12 weeks project, I have learned how to use xgen to create hair, pore hair and cloth fur. Other than that, I also learned Marverless to build the cloth for this character. Software I used the most in this project was Zbrush, maya, photoshop, Mari and Substances Painter.

Final Render.

Development for the eyeball:

Eyeball (Limbus, Iris, Fluid, Cornea and lens) blocked in maya, Iris detail sculpted in zbrush and Texture done on Zbrush using polypaint.

Zbrush Sculpting Process:

Albedo & Specular. Skin texture from TextureXYZ, I did some clean up.
