Pantomine

This is a pantomime assignemnt. I got my hands on the kayla rig and wanted to animate something more childlike, playful and innocent We had to write out several scenarios so that our lecturer can suggest which ones are the best as shown here.

It took me several tries to get an idea that was approved. It was very tricky to get that childlike feel that I wanted for this animation. My lecturer gave a lot of feedback on acting and I really learned a lot from this assignment.

Parkour

Here is a body mechanics assignment. I really love doing body mechanics animation, so I wanted to do something big and cinematic.

My main inspirations for this shot comes from various medias such as, Alberto Mielgo's Watch Dogs Legion: Tipping Point, Spiderverse and Deadpool.

Usually for bigger shots like this, I start with a cube workflow/layout to get the timing and rough camerawork nailed down before starting the blocking. I rarely do storyboards because I can't visualise very well in 2D and opt to do rough 3D layouts instead, but I still drew a very rough board to get my idea across to my lecturers quickly as shown here.

The idea changed a lot through many iterations and feedback from my lecturers which ultimately led to a better shot in the end.

Final Assignment

"Acting Final Assignment"

This is my final assingment in 3dsense. After watching Spiderverse and Entergalactic's trailer, I wanted to tackle animating on twos.

For our final assignments we can pick and choose what kind of shots we want to create. Body mechanics, creature, a fight scene ,etc.

I chose an acting dialogue as acting is my weakpoint and I want to improve upon it.

The audio clip is from a british tv show called "Bloods". Through out planning this shot, I wanted to show the goofy dynamic between these two characters with my animation. So I settled with this idea and customized the rigs to make them suit the context of the scene.

Lastly, my lecturer also suggested us to light and render our shots to make them more appealing. So, I lit and rendered my shot in arnold.

It was my first time lighting and rendering. It was hectic, but fun to learn it!

Overall, my time in 3dsense taught me a lot and I thank my lecturer and classmates who helped me with all of my assignments.

Thank you for your time and looking through my entry!
