Characters for Alya - Teaser Trailer 

Alya is a university group project that lasted 3 months. I was responsible for creating all the characters. Alya, the main character, steals an egg from the creatures living in this world and tries to sell it. However, the monster follows her and chases her through the city. Will she be able to escape?

While the trailer was rendered in Unreal Engine 5, the turnarounds were rendered with Arnold. All aspects of the characters were created by me, however, the rigging was done using the Advanced Skeleton plugin. 

Alya

Alya is the main character and a rogue. This means her clothing and hairstyle need to be functional, as she rides at high speeds on her hoverbike. She is adventurous and prone to sticky situations. These things had to be considered during her conception phase. (Worktime : 27 Days)

Tajir

Tajir is a calm and laid-back guy - most of the time. He is also the head of the black market of the city. So cross him, talk to him wrong and you'll be in big trouble, without even expecting it. 

Tajir was meant to look like the average rich person in the city, hiding his dark job in plain sight by having a small shop.  His clothing was meant to be expensive looking, a little flowy, and he is supposed to give merchant vibes. (Worktime : 10 Days)

Lou

Lou is the shopkeeper when Tajir is away on his shady business. She is not fully aware of what her boss does and is very friendly with most people - with some even a little too friendly. Due to her high energy levels, she gets bored easily when nothing is happening at the shop, so she tries to find the next adventure for herself, flirting included. (Worktime : 8 Days)

Tonraq the little Puffin

Tonraq is a little happy-go-lucky puffin that is very clumsy, and maybe a little too full of himself. He is very endearing, anyone that sees him would like to give him a cuddle, not only because of his heart-shaped chest pattern. He is also Liuanas best friend (WIP, the little Inuit girl seen in the concepts) as she raised him when he was just a baby.  (Worktime : 7 Days)

Meernina - Self Portrait inspired by Monster High

This self-portrait was inspired by the movie Welcome to Monster High (2016). As I love the ocean and the beach I decided a mermaid would be a fitting representation for me. (Worktime : 8 Days)
