Project Revenant
Project Revenant is a 12 week labor of love made by small group of friends under the team name Semichki Games. Its a demo inspired by Ultrakill, Skyrim and Magicka.
In a far-off future where people have long since abandoned their life as organic beings, a queen seeks to establish a timeless utopia and bring about world peace. The Revenant, the queen's most dependable general, decides during the final march for ultimate unity that he does not share her grand vision. He seizes the creation crystal and launches a rebellion against the queen and her armies. The Revenant is eventually defeated, and both his body and the creation crystal are lost.
The Revenant has now emerged from stasis and is armed with the creation crystal, ready to wreak havoc on those who dared to take him down.

Gameplay
Our inspiration stemmed from the high-intensity gameplay of Titanfall and Ultrakill alongside fantasy games like Skyrim and Magicka. with the intention of fusing the fast-paced FPS action with the mystical concept of combining elements to generate more potent spells.
Fast-paced movement and magic-based combat make up the gameplay. The Revenant can cast a wide variety of elemental spells thanks to the power of the four elements at his disposal. Fire, Water, Wind and Earth. The Revenant can engage in quick-fire magic battle and destroy his enemies thanks to each element's unique properties and the ability to quickly transition between them.
The Revenant can combine elements with the help of the creation crystal to produce potent spells that he can cast. This allows him to unleash destructive magic.
Movement
Elements and combos
The player can switch between four different elements at any time: fire, water, wind and earth. Each element has its own primary(LMB/RT), secondary(RMB/LT) and charged shot(LMB Hold/RT Hold):
Fire - Fire ball/Flame thrower/Sticky bomb
Water - Projectile swipe/Grappling hook/Long range laser
Wind - Cone push/On point vacuum/360 Push
Earth - Spike/Stone cage/Giant boulder
The casting system in Magicka served as our model, which we modified to make it more snappy.
In the lower-right corner of the user interface, a symbol in a slot appears when changing to an element. The player can cast an ultimate spell once all three slots have been filled and the combination is valid. With this, we maintain the fast-paced mobility of an FPS while enhancing it with a special spell casting mechanic.

About us
Semicki Games is a self taught team formed by a group of friends with a passion for making games. In 2022 during October and November we started our game development journey by creating our first small playable demo called Gravigopnik, a 3rd-person platform-puzzler that won second place at GDHT - "Game Design How To?" 2022 by M3DS.
With some success, we made the decision to keep going since we wanted to improve our abilities and give The Rookies contest our all.
We had a fantastic experience with Project Revenant, which gave us something to work toward as we honed our game development talents. It's been a fantastic adventure filled with tons of effort and obstacles to overcome. We appreciate everyone who chose to lend a hand, provide criticism, and impart knowledge that will be useful to us as we go forward.
We intend to keep honing our craft and improving as a team, and we hope you take pleasure in our work.
