Hi! This is my entry for the contest in which I'll show you a couple of projects of mine.

Round of applause for our sponsors

Hello, I'm Luca and I've recently finished the CG masterclass at Skyup Academy.

Here are two projects that I did during that period of time (one personal project and one thesis shot).

The project that I enjoyed the most was the rain simulation (thesis project) because it was my first approach with Houdini for the creation of FX which is the field that I decided to pursue.

Thank you for visiting this page!

The first work that I decided to show is this lighter (personal project). I took care of every aspect of it. (Software used Autodesk Maya, Chaosgroup Vray, Adobe Substance 3D Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects).

The other project that I want to show you is this rain simulation that we have to replicate for our thesis (tribute to Denis Villeneuve's movie: "Dune: Part One"). For this shot I worked on the rain FX in Houdini. This was my first real challenge with this software because I already had a look at it but I never used it for a more complex project. It was very fun to work on this shot because it allowed me to understand a little more a new amazing software and to understand even more how some FX are created, but it also allowed me to reutilize some coding skills from my past formation. (Software used SideFX Houdini, Autodesk Maya, Chaosgroup Vray, Adobe After Effects).
