VILLA ITAPARICA

This house with sea views blends into the landscape thanks to its morphology, blending in with it like a camouflage, covering its imposing concrete façade with vegetation, without renouncing privacy. The entire house opens up like a balcony facing the sea.

This house with sea views blends into the landscape thanks to its morphology, blending in with it like a camouflage, covering its imposing concrete façade with vegetation, without renouncing privacy.

The entire house opens up like a balcony facing the sea, surrounded by a forest, in a contoured plan, achieving an active differentiation of its architectural levels.

VILLA ITAPARICA

ITAPARICA is an island off the Atlantic coast of Brazil located in the Todos os Santos Bay, about 10 km off the city of Salvador, in the state of Bahia.

When I first visited the island years ago, it was almost inaccessible, with a small indigenous population. It was an idyllic place, full of light and vegetation, and located opposite a city where you could sit by the sea and seem to be safe from the hustle and bustle of a big city.

This idea of integrating a new construction into this idilic environment is my target with this project, by showing a villa surrounded by vegetation and nature in its purest state, where its users may feel safe and in perfect harmony with nature.

In this way, the architecture blends in with the landscape in a perfect balance, using natural materials.

Thank you for spending your time.
