Yohan Houel Concept Art Showreel 2022-2023

So first i present you the concept i created for the project roebuck a handpaint video games in the style of the Arcane serie. I painted an establishing shot for the city, we thought that the city is a big ship flying accross the cloud with hot air balloon. Also the city is a big trading post where people who from all over the world can trade merchandises, and a lot of pirates go here ...

I made several sketches for the environment to understand a bit more the technologie uses in the city. I was in charge to design the captaincy, this is the place where pirates can recruit a crew and organize new expeditions. So  I tried to keep the pirate spirit in the design, with a lot of wood and a boat shape.

I created some png design, i tried to keep the pirates style in there clothes.

Next i was in charge to design the captain, i create mutiple iterations. The captain is a strong and a fearless leader coming to the flying city of Roebuck to find a new crew for the next adventure !

With lack of time and to reach a better render the last iteration was made by Regin wellander thanks to him ! Next i modelise him in 3d.
