Hi, my name is Georg Shao. I am a prop artist from Vienna and specialize in creating game-ready realistic assets. Here are my personal projects. Hope you guys enjoy it!

The vanitas project was for the final assignment at my university. The goal was to create a game-ready diorama, which looks like vanitas still-life. I used this oppotunity to strengthen my sculpting skill and learn to work with lumen. After I finished it, I decided to create couple more compositions with the main assets (Skull and violin). Everything was rendered real-time in Unreal Engine 5.

After finishing the diorama I decided to create more compositions with the intention of bringing abstractions in them.

I used decimation master to create lowpoly of the skull, since it is more efficient and helps me speed up my workflow.

The smoke was created in Houdini with the help of an online article from FX Thinking. I exported it as flipbook texture and made sure that the smoke is loopable.

Progress 

I've always found that the old cameras have pretty intersting shapes and designs. So that's why I decided to model this folding camera as a game ready prop. The high poly is made in blender, since I wanted to learn a little bit Blender with this project. The Lowpoly is made in Maya.

After the modeling and texturing phase, I made some beautyshots in Marmoset and decided to produce a small video in Unreal. The walls, books and flowers are Assets from megascans. The camera and the table are produced by myself.
