Precious Coin

[SYNOPSIS]

In Melbourne, a big mall street back in the 1950s, full of cold-minded businessmen and women. Only the clown is trying hard to put joy on the cold street.

Will his joy reach out to people? Will he make anyone happy?

[STORYLINE DESCRIPTION]

The clown is trying to spread the joy on the busy street, busking, and working hard. On the other side of the street, the little boy is walking with a coin, looking super excited to buy a little street toy. The little boy's happiness caught the clown's attention. The little boy buys a toy on the street with the coin. The little boy's happiness influences the clown and made him happy, but he soon realizes his poor reality. Soon he hears the little boy sobbing because his toy broke in the crowded street. The clown felt sorry for him and he felt like all the joy was gone on the street. With a moment of sadness, he decided to make a change and walked toward the little boy, giving him the coin that he earnt from busking. The little boy looks at the clown blindly. Soon, the little boy smiles again because he is touched by the clown's sweet heart :)

CONCEPTUAL BASIS

This idea came from watching the movie "Joker", in 2019. While I was watching this movie, it got me thinking what if something nice happened to the Joker. If one good thing happen to him, would he turn into Joker? So, I have decided to create a nice healing short film.

In this story, Clown still goes through hard situations where he gets ignored by people on the street. However, he saw another poor little boy like him but looking happy and joyful because he has a little coin that he can buy a little toy with. Soon the little boy lost the toy, and become sad like the clown. He wants nothing more than to help the little boy to find happiness. So he gives his coin to the little boy and a small little coin made both of the characters happy.
