2023 Rookies Portfolio
Hello!
I am a self taught 3D artist with a background in fine arts attempting to make the jump to computer graphics for animation. This portfolio is a collection of some of the best work from my time spent learning in Blender over the past six months or so.
Stone Throne (2022)
This vignette was my first personal project utilizing Blender. The idea for this was to create something that time has begun to forget. The throne sits in the middle of a field as the grass grows taller, covering the platform that the throne sits on, erasing the past slowly.
Child Character Model (2023)
Character model of a little girl in a dress, inspired by an old memory of a kid I used to know. Started with a concept sketch in marker then modeled and textured in Blender.
Snowy Light Pole (2023)
A modern light pole covered in snow after a snowstorm. Having lived in a very snowy place for the past decade I've learned to love the way lights shine through the snow. This also gave me a chance to give more attention to practicing lighting.
Tea Set (2023)
A teapot with a stack of precarious teacups and saucers on a kitchen countertop ready for tea time. My first attempt at building out an entire scene and staging it to tell a story.
