Behold!! The eldritch online 4-player party-shooter:

Attic Panic!

In this top-down shooter, every round presents you with a wicked assortment of randomized upgrade cards, ensuring a heart-pounding experience that will keep you hooked. Whether you crave the thrill of shielding yourself from enemy fire, bouncing bullets off walls, or unleashing a storm of otherworldly destruction upon your foes, Attic Panic offers a playstyle for everyone!

Invite up to 4 of your friends and play as possessed toys, vying for the boons of a sinister Lovecraftian beast! Fight and strive to become the most powerful follower of "The Entity": Gather upgrade cards, unlock unique abilities and turn this dusty old attic into a hailstorm of projectiles!

However, slaying your rivals in the makeshift arena of mementoes is not enough for victory - gather the remains of their souls as an offering to "The Entity": A Match of Attic Panic is divided into Rounds. One Round lasts until a player accumulates ten Essences, the souls of defeated players. Once this happens, the Upgrade Stage begins: the players are all shown the same hand of Upgrade Cards, from which they must all pick one after another. Picking order is reversed-best, letting the player with the least total accumulated Essence pick first - we like giving the underdog every chance to recover! Remember: The upgrades stack up!

Once the Upgrade Stage ends, another Round starts. This cycle continues as the players accumulate Essence! The first one to reach 50 Essence wins the Match! Due to the nature of the Rounds, it is however possible for people to gather more than 50 Essence - in this case, after the final Round the player with the highest amount of total accumulated Essence wins!

So come and join us in our bid to appease the powers-beyond-comprehension, while enjoying a good ol' high-octane toy-shootout!

Attic Panic's very first iteration, still going by it's old in-development name Li'l Spoops. This prototype showcased the fact our programmers worked out how conduct networking in an online game. It also presents Design & VA's earliest concepts of how they envisioned our game.

Attic Panic's second greatest milestone, showcasing five month's of progress. The art style and gameplay was, at this point, mostly set in stone but still prone to changes. Meanwhile, the programming team refactored the project to iron out kinks left over from our prototype stage.

Attic Panic's early access release gets an update! This is the latest public build of the project, featuring polish on all three fronts of the project alongside a quality-of-life changes  - read the patch notes here! At the time of this submission, Team Tonk is rearing to make its final push towards Attic Panic's full release!
