Round of applause for our sponsors

Hi Everyone and Welcome !

The following artworks were made during my first two years at Artside Games which showcases both characters, props and environment designs.

Environments

The herbalist Shop

Here I present you the result of my first two weeks of Architecture design at Artside Games under the guidance of Florian Devos.

During the first week we studied, for each day, a completely different architecture style. Then we applied our newfound knowledge by designing a functional building in a specific style. Along the course, we studied Art Nouveau and its exquisite shapes. Fortunately, an iteration I made for my, Art Nouveau inspired, building was chosen to be turn into a full rendered piece !

The next images will walk you through the journey of creating the herbalist shop.

As a bonus, I will add some call-outs, hope you enjoy them !

I ended up doing an elevation test with a ,quite complex, 3D base using blender to place the most intricate shapes !

Most of the time, 3d bases can solves problems that didn't appear in the design making and also save a considerable amount of time. Therefore, it is important to get familiar with 3D softwares.

Landscape

This piece was the result of one week of landscape painting with our teacher, Florian Devos. We had two prompts to follow alongside the week.  We had to create 3 thumbnails for each of these prompts which were: A camper in a canyon and a camper in the forest.

You will see below my process in making those thumbnails and the full render of the final piece. It was an interesting week where we learn how to create different moods for a single image ! I'm really grateful to have been able to showcase my color understanding.

In the end, one of my canyon thumbnails was accepted and here is the outcome !

Fantasy Inn - interior design

This one was a project made during my first year at Artside  ! We had to create a fantasy inn alongside props that came with it and I decided to put the design in a viking inspired setting.

This was done without a 3d base and I made a lot of back and forth for this artwork. It was a long and frustrating process but really rewarding at the end !

Character Designs

Here we are tackling the Character part of my entry ! lots of projects were made that I'm excited to show ! Hope you will enjoy them :)

Choose Your Fighter

For my first showcase of Characters, here I present you the '' Choose Your Fighter " project. A project we made in a few months during our free time. We had the possibility to pick between three combat sports: MMA, Muay Thai and english boxing.

I made the decision to go with Muay Thai and after many hours of research and studying the sport, I came up with a character. I will let you see for yourself !

The witch - Render Practice

This one is actually special because it was my first project entering my second general year at Artside. The design of the character was made by our amazing teacher Anna Lakisova. During the course,  we learned about the importance of conveying different materials with a variety of shading techniques. The knowledge I gained from these two weeks were very crucial for the growth of my rendering skills.

Viking Design

The design was made during the class of Léandre Teko, we first started by painting silhouettes, constructing the anatomy above it and designing the clothing afterwards. We had to propose a polished version of the character, alongside a backview, by the end of the course.

Chara Design Sci-fi - Lei-Shi, The blood seeker

We had the incredible opportunity to have Felix Donadio as our teacher for a week. I really enjoyed this course as i ended up learning about mecha and how joints worked !

This was a truly pleasurable experience.

Personal Work and closing words

It seems that you have made it until the end ! if it's the case I'm thanking you all for taking the time to watch my work and I hope you had a great time there :)

In this section, you will see some personal illustrations, plein air and studies I have made !
