Gerard Segura - Concept art 2023

GRADUATION PROJECT

My graduation project is a multiplayer first-person shooter with magical abilities with RPG components. You will have to open a border outpost, how you will open it is up to you, but the refugees need to pass to the other side or they will be killed. My goal was to create the pre-production for a videogame and create a cohesive world.

| THE WORLD

Tkar is a bastion located in the middle of a long and thin shoal that connects two continents, at the same time it is surrounded by coral reefs. This place is used as a border control spot between two kingdoms once united as one. Now it holds a lot of war refugees.

My challenge here was to create a cohesive world between characters and environment.

The two first illustrations would be animation frames.

On the other hand, with the last illustration, I wanted to show the mood of this remote spot in the world, a tense one.

What you will see below are concepts and illustrations made for "la madición del héroe" (hero curse) a fanzine during the first semester at Escola Joso Barcelona. My task was to create the hero and the villain along with illustrations narrating the story's opening/ending.

The story is about a kid who has destroyed the balance in the world by mistake, therefore, he will fix it during his lifetime.
