Welcome to my 3D animation Demo Reel

My first entry ever for the Rookies is my actual character animation demo reel, which I have been working on for 18 months. It's a compilation of some of the animation shots I've developed in the master's degree at Animum. It's been a long journey since the beginning, starting with the basic animation principles, going through body mechanics and ending by acting with different characters.

During all this time as a student I have experienced all kind of emotions due to hard work, specially dealing with imposter syndrome, but every effort has its own reward. Now I can't express in words how grateful I am for having chosen this path in my life. Of course, I've to thank all my professional mentors and classmates for what they've taught me and for the support I've received from them. 

I'm willing to continue learning and drenching myself in the knowledge and experience of the people who I'm going to meet along the way. Thanks in advance and hope you like it :)

The following video is the progression shot reel of the two acting shots shown in the demo reel. There you can see the creation process since the reference to the final refined version. The first acting was about a single character and the second one was about the interaction between two characters.

As my main goal is to become a versatile animator, my idea was to explore different personalities and behaviors, as well as various types of characters according to their gender and age. In addition, for the second shot I wanted to try a musical shot, so I found a proper audio to make a discussion between a father and his teenage daughter about who is better.
