The Last Confrontation
The Last Confrontation is my first cinematic sequence in Unreal Engine. The old man; mentor to the Viking; is meeting him in the desert for the last confrontation to see who is the best. Athletics, skill and intelligence instead of power and massive muscles.
I took inspiration from Dragonball Z, the Cell's tournament. The idea was to make some shots until reach the start of the battle, working with two different character in costitution and skills, as we saw also in Dragonball.

My focus was to make a cinematic sequence with assets already existing.
So from Quixel Bridge i took all the folliage, rocks and meshes to create the environment.
The viking character was given to me by CG Spectrum institute during the Foundation of Real Time 3D and the Old man was taken from Mixamo.
For character's animation i use mocap data downloaded from Mixamo, importing my character, assigning them what i was looking for and after that assigned in Unreal to the correct skeleton.
For this project i didn't make a storyboard but i wrote down a short script of the story i want to tell.
Came into Unreal i started blocking my scene, positioning my character, attaching them animations and looking into cameras for movement and angles.
After rendered my shots in Unreal, i bring my EXR files into After Effects and Premiere Pro to make my finals adjuments and the editing of clips.
