Round of applause for our sponsors

Ola, I thank you for taking the time by clicking on my submission. Just so you know, it's gonna be my last year of participating in the contest. Within these 3 years of studying 3D things, mainly in VFX, houdini fx, compositing, and all that. I find that I really enjoyed doing it, it is just like how you needed oxygen to survive. A week ago on 21 May 2023, I met a woman who is really encouraging. She told me "If you feel like this is right for you, just go for it. Don't let 'worry' and 'insecurity' stop you from where you at. All you need to do is just keep moving, don't stop." She is such a beautiful-hearted woman I have ever met in my life tbh.

I hope this phrase would help you in some way. Without further it do, here are my artworks. Enjoy.

Oh yeah, you probably will see I submitted some of my work that I submitted pass few years. Dont worry about it. Since it's gonna be my last, I am hoping to compile everything in one post.

Let's start with the latest.

Shield Effect | 2023

This is a small exercise practice for me to recap what I have learned in the past 3 years. To be honest I didn't think I could actually do something that I never thought was possible.  As my lecturer told me, "There are always a ton of ways to approach the thing you want, you just need a sparking light to find a way to approach it. There is no right or wrong, just do it."

Fox Statue | UE5

Several months ago, I took my time to go for a small course to learn the basics of Unreal Engine 5 and this is the very first scene I have created throughout the course. It was very fun to play with the engine, it was really fun and interesting. I have also played with some Houdini simulations and imported them to the scene, Im so glad it worked out well.

I have done this scene by using Quixel Megascan elements.

Explosion on the Sandy Ground

Explosion on the Sandy ground.

After graduating from my college. On 19th Sep 2022. Finally, I'm moving forward to the next stage of my life, 'work'. I have been given a test in which I need to create an explosion in 2 weeks. After several days of work, here is a quick one.

I hope you like it.

If you are interested in BG music. It's called Extra Fries by The Fly Guy Five

Sci-Fi Drone

Back when I'm In the final year of working on my final year project for my college assignment.

Manage to squeeze out some time to work on my drone after a few heavy projects back at that time. Hope you guys like it.

btw The Drone model is created by Kitbash3D

Shield Fx | 2022

Portal & Shield Effect. In the middle of April 2022, I finally got freed from my college project. It's finally time to look at something I'm really interested in, and I've started to work on that. The scene is provided by Rebelway.

Cyberpunk 2077| Find the Answer

This is my Year 3 Semester 1 Final project from the Camera Matchmove class. The idea is to create a Cyberpunk 3D environment. In shot 1 and shot 2. I only render a single still frame with Aov passes. After that, I use the light passes to make the light flicker. So it will have the illusion that the environment is rendered in video.

Below are the old artworks I have done in 2020 & 2021.

Match Move

This is my Year 3 Semester 1 assignment. The requirement was to create an object tracking. In this project, I have learned how to clean up the track marker properly and efficiently. Other than that, I also learned how to add shadows to the book. It was really fun.

This is my Year 3 Semester 1 assignment. The requirement was to create an object tracking. I have been doing a lot of artwork related to cyberpunk. This time. I want to try something different. So, I decided to make something more realistic. it was really fun. love it.

Inspired by a Netflix Series called The Gambit's Queen. So I was wondering what will it looks like if the gambit chess is in Neon Style. Surprisingly, it turned out quite nicely.

Even Older 3D rendering

This was my very first interior design from modeling to compositing. This is also one of my favorite workspaces that I have dreamt of.  It was 2019 artwork, where I 1st touched 3D. Time flies.

Welp, There is still a bunch of old artwork I wish I could put in here. Unfortunately, I believed you gonna be getting tired of seeing too much, right? Hahaha

So, just in case you are interested. If you wanna find out more, you can visit my Instagram by this @ryanleh1999. In there, you will get all the information you need.
