Hello! My name is Jiaping but everyone calls me Luna. I'm from China but I've been living in Spain since I was 6 years old! After graduating in interior design, I felt that I had to complete my profile a bit more and I was very interested in the world of 3D and image production, I finally found SCHOOL-ING in Madrid and here is part of my work during this course!

FIRST PROJECT - LA HACIENDA JARDÍN FROM PRÁCTICA ARQUITECTURA

It is a project located in Tepoztlán, Mexico carried out by the architects Práctica Arquitectura. I chose this house as my first project of the course because I found the concept of surrounding the interior patio with the rest of the spaces of the house very interesting and it also reminds me the traditional Chinese houses known as Siheyuan.

"On a rainy day, the water enters through the patio, dripping on the tiles, watering the garden, filling the pool and providing a contemplative experience."  The use of natural materials such as wood, stone... is very interesting, so that they integrate and generate a natural landscape with the large central garden.

This project was carried out in 3ds Max from its modeling to the production of images with V-ray as the rendering engine and post-production in Photoshop.

FURNITURE - BUTTERFLY STOOL BY SORI YANAGI

During the project of polygonal modeling of a piece of furniture, I chose the well-known Butterfly Stool by the Japanese designer Sori Yanagi.

COMPOSITION EXERCISE

During this exercise we had to generate two images in class time with the material provided by the teacher (assets and models) practicing the framing and composition with these images.

INTERIOR PROJECT - HOUSE N BY SOU FUJIMOTO

This house is located in Oita, Japan. It was the work of Sou Fujimoto Architects. It is one of my favorite works of architecture basically because of its concept of inside-outside.

The house's structure is basically three cubes that contain each other, each one with its openings and generates that connection with the outside being a single-family home. 

It is a clean, simple space with little visual noise. You can see how the sun light can enter through the different "holes" and how it fills the space with natural light during the day.

RETAIL PROJECT - CHEE-SE RESTAURANT BY KSOUL STUDIO

For the retail space project, I found this restaurant located in Vietnam called CHEE-SE  by Ksoul Studio. It is very striking for that tone of pastel colors in all spaces and the abundant use of only two colors: yellow and pink.

Although the space does not really have complex and noisy materials in sight, it is still a funny space that expresses the concept and style of the restaurant.

Many of the elements are inspired from the melted cheese because it is the main product of the restaurant, as well as tables, stickers, chairs...
