3D Portifolio
These are my best 3D works. All of them highlight my best modeling, texturing and lighting skills.
Circus Scene
This was my favorite project from all the things I worked on this year. I think I was able to showcase the best of my modeling, texturing and lighting skills. I choose this MadHead Games concept art because the lighting caught my attention, I liked all the different tones present in the image.
One of the challenges I faced was adapting the reference to a 16:9 proportion. For a while I was stuck in how to fit everything, it was a lot of back and forth with the camera until I was satisfied. I also ended up deciding to take out some objects of the original scene, so I could focus on the details of each object better. I worked on this for about a month and I believe I was able to capture the general mood from the original illustration.
I also decided to explore this scene in different way by doing an alternative lighting. My goal was to create an uneasy and mysterious atmosphere using greens and yellows to build up a kind of creepy vibe. As reference I looked up some spooky illustrations to understand the color palettes used.
Here I have the breakdown of the scene, with the Ambient Occlusion pass and Wireframe.
Space Station
This was another fun project I did based on a concept art by Instagram/@spacegooose. In this final frame I gave myself freedom to play with the lighting distancing a little bit from the original image. My main references for color palette were galaxy illustrations with a lot of deep purples and blues and a hint of orange.
Overall the biggest challenge was modeling the bottom part, I looked at other illustrations from the artist so I could understand how to build the back part of it by myself while still keeping the style. I tried doing the texturing the closest I could to the tones in the reference. It was an interesting process creating variety in this tight range of colors.

Cyberpunk Mask
This is the 3D model of a cyberpunk mask based on this illustration by twitter/@tuanmulo. Again I played a little bit in the lighting for this piece. I wanted to create an atmosphere like this object is part of a bigger scene. Since it's a mask I pictured something like a pos-apocalyptic world so I mainly used warm tones to refer to a dirty and dusty air.

Siren Head
This was a Siren Head model I did that it was used for a VFX video. The model was made in Maya and textured in Substance. At first I had a hard time understanding how to create the shapes for each body part but once that was done adding the details was easier. The whole process took me about a week.
