Quinn Bogaerts - Prop Art Portfolio
Hello! My name is Quinn, I specialize in hard surface. This is the result of my personal work between 2022-2023, one year after graduating Howest Digital Arts and Entertainment.
Remington XP-100
The different shapes of the remington's handle immediately spoke to me, and I wanted to take on the challenge of translating them into a model. I opted for a wooden handle, as these guns are usually distributed in a plastic resin. This project was primarily made and rendered in Blender using Cycles.
Counting 20 036 triangles, this game asset uses 2 texture sets, at 4k resolution for the main gun and 2k for the scope. The model is ready for animating, as demonstrated in the video (animated by Cedric Bagein).
Leatherman Skeletool KBX
Being a big fan of anything Leatherman, I modeled the relatively small Skeletool KBX as an exercise in speed and efficiency. Being very statisfied with the result I decided to turn it into a game ready asset. This project imitates a gun magazine, with different video game type skins of the same knife rather than other types of knives.
At just 10 671 triangles these knives each use one 4k texture set and are ready to be rigged and animated.
Tactical Combat Helmet
This helmet is an older project I updated and recently rerendered to play with some more realistic velcro on the sides. It features renders in Cycles with hair particles to simulate the velcro and real time renders in UE4 and Marmoset where the velcro is flat.
At 22 932 triangles this helmet uses a 4k texture set.
