Corrie Bergmann - Concept Art Student
My name is Corrie, I'm a Concept Art student at CG Spectrum, and though I grew up passionate about art, I've only just started my journey to be a Concept Artist last October. Below are some of my latest projects I'd like to share with you!
Futuristic Helmet Design
I was challenged with this practice of iterative design. I found it difficult- creatively speaking- to come up with six different designs for this futuristic, military-grade helmet. While I was not fully satisfied with each individual helmet, I did find unique and interesting features to combine from each of my designs while retaining the grungy, Dieselpunk look I wanted to incorporate.
Crystal Knife on Display
My idea for this knife was an ancient weapon of magic, its use no longer known as it sits on display for people to see. Starting this project, I'd thought that the crystalline surface would be the most challenging to render, but I had a few more issues to deal with when rendering the wooden slab beneath the knife.
Server Android
This project challenged me to practice thumbnailing, silhouette study, and value mapping before moving onto the final rendering and colorizing. My goal was an android used for serving drinks, broken down in a sort of post-apocalyptic setting.
