Alchemist Workshop VR

The Alchemist workshop is a team effort of 8 talented artists to bring a mysterious and fun-to-play VR Experience/Game. This was the first project in VR that we ever attempted and it definitely was a different experience compared to our usual university project. I hope you enjoy a little showcase of our creation and a deeper dive into how the project ended up where it is now. But let's start with a cinematic trailer below!

Below You can see how the environment of our game progressed through the 8 weeks of development. Adjusting the layout, and size of the props, adding balconies and proper height - all to make the space feel more fun and worth exploring!

With the slider below you will be able to follow our process of creating a believable brick wall shader for our scene. We used a combination of parallax occlusion, height linear interpolation, and vertex painting to make our bricks pop and our mortar flow in between them.
