Dior’s iconic pattern “Cannage Motif” was inspired by Napoléon III‘s chairs. The chair is using caning, an old fashion technique of weaving on a frame using rattan cane. The concept that I used is angled line of cannage motif and the weaving technique of Napoleon’s rattan chair.
