Sakè day
Photorealism project, 3d reproductin of a photographic shot.
Hello! this is my first photorealism project, modeled with Maya, textured with Substance 3d Painter and rendered with vray. I started from this photographic reference of a sake service composition in an internal enviroment.
I started with a search of images for the study of modeling and textures.
For the modeling i started from a blocking, a sketch of the general shapes, then i moved on to detail and advanced modeling before the texturing.
Then i imported the model to proceed with the texturing. For the surface of the bowls, the coloring of the flowers and the texture of the fabric, i used many layers to obtain a more real result.
After texturing, i re-imported the project to Maya to apply maps and do the shading of the various materials. Then i moved on to setting the lights; as atmospheric baselight i chose an hdri of an interior, to make the scene more real, then i defined other keylights to emphasize the direct and indirect lights, the cold colors in the surfaces and the shadows. I set a camera with focal lenght 40mm.
These were some lighting and shading tests before the final render.
Hi! There are the finals renders of my first sculpting work realized in Zbrush, starting from this concept charcter.
Blocking phase
The final sculpting before lighting and rendering
For the lighting and rendering i used Maya an Vray, here some shot of the viewport; i setting up the cameras and i used three different light: keylight, rectlight and domelight.
