Ellehar - Illustrations and concept art

Gods and magic was inspired by egyptian mythology. I was facinated by it as a kid and went back to it recently. I wanted to put some of those god in a more fantasy setting. 

The two main character here are Nekhbet and Ouadjet, two sisters and protector of the realm of egypt.

I also did antagonsitc character illustration.For this one I went in a different way of the finding the composition by directly playing around in 3D. I already had an idea of what I wanted  and some character sketches and I messed around. In the end it ended up being longer because I made a lot of changes along the way but it was still fun.

Sobek, the prince

Mother of the sea came from the idea of nature getting revenge on humanity for hurting her children. I was inspired by the destruction of the ocean due to overfishng and pictured what would append in a alternative secondary world were the sea could fight back.

For the concept for the mother, i wanted a tough mermaid, ready to fight and protect her youth. I wanted to keep a fantasy setting and a spirit  feel to my character. She can take physical form to blend and serve but at the end she is the sea and she can become it and change her size to become one with it.

 For the baby more of a fun and playful look, a mix between an amphibian and different fishes to show the diversity of the sea. They are smaller and anchored in reality which makes them a lot more vulnerable.

A school of magic was done in the context of a french contest of the theme of a magical school. We had brief for the character and some key scene description. 

The story is centered around a character named Lirana.

Then we had a Key scene to do of one of her friend transforming accidently under the shocked faces of his camarade.

The second key scene was the final fight scene between the hero and one of her teachers turned evil.

The medusa necklace is my current project. were i work on a series of illustration were a cursed necklace is being stolen over and over. I wanted to challenge myself to explore different composition and concept for the same action.

This piece was done after some compostion study of diverse golden age illustrator and imagining sketches based on some of those composition. I actually really liked on of them so i turned it in an illustration.
