2D & 3D Game Production Projects
Here are my most recent Game Projects as a May 2023 Bachelor of Animation Graduate. For both game projects, I have taken on leadership roles overseeing the creative/narrative vision, directing/producing the visual & audible style, as well as the User Experience. I am showcasing an array of my development work for each.
DISCLAIMER- There are 2 games showcased in this entry. One is a Fully Shipped Game Demo, the other is a Game Prototype for an Internship, yet to be released on VR software.
Nimi's Gift - Liminal VR Experience Internship
Nimi's Gift is a calming 8 minute VR experience prototype, developed by a team of 3 student interns for the Liminal Platform over 2 months.
Nimi is the spirit of Peace, and Guardian of the Mind Realm. Offering you the ability to breathe life into the mind tree, join Nimi in soothing box-breathing exercises, and help the Mind Tree flourish to reflect your state of mind.

Overall Internship Experience & Achievements:
⬥ Directly managed team of 5, including the creative direction of SFX & musical composition, UI, UX, VFX, character & environment design, and animation, to produce a refined calming VR experience, with a niche spiritual fantasy aesthetic.
⬥ Directed narrative structure of calming experience, implementing a unique spiritual companion into the core structure of our experience, thus bringing novelty to our product.
⬥ Composed and designed 15 unique particle systems demonstrating a diverse range of hypnotic and awe-inspiring visual effects through the experience.

Foodomina is a narrative driven, sci-fi and food themed top-down RPG, aimed to be experienced on PC. The playable rendition is a vertical slice 20-25 minute demo, produced by a team of 4 over 6 months.

ORIGINAL STORY:
Set in a sci-fi galaxy, in a world made up of food planets and civilizations. You’ll play as cosmos travelers, friends, heroes, partners, Takoyaki and Tempura, in their fight against an ancient enemy of the food people, Mold. As their once dormant enemy returns, seeking to rule the world of Foodomina and spread their infection across the galaxy...
As the player however, you are faced with the moral implications of what it means to be a hero. Will you eradicate the Moldians that step in your path, or revive them to their former food selves, even if it means sacrifice?

Designed and composed using majority of Foodomina's pre-production conceptual work and designs; featuring additional & exclusive content separate to the game demo. Physical books were included in Exhibition Booth and Debut of Foodomina for consumers waiting to play our game, on-lookers and networking.
SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING EXPERIENCE:
⬥ Curated content across 4 social channels, ensuring a cohesive brand identity, resulting in a 37% CTR for our Linktree Domain.
⬥ Pitched, developed and produced short video content across Instagram and Tiktok.
Overall Project Production Experience & Achievements:
⯁ Directly managed a team of 4, including fields of programming, game design, sound engineering, score composition, and animation to produce a refined game demo with an engrossing narrative, characters, art style and soundtrack.
⯁ Constructed & enforced implementation of industry best practice methodology, allowing for an adaptable, collaborative team workflow that prevents new identified risks or conflicts.
⯁ Facilitated and hosted 1-2 weekly virtual and physical stand-up meetings, establishing a culture of trust and efficiently delegating tasks to team members across 6 departments.
⯁ Transformed Foodomina's debut into a trend-setting, interactive, brand identifying exhibition booth by implementing art and design principles in marketing and promotional material, generating over 60 live players within 3 hours and an average playtime of 20 minutes.
⯁ Facilitated robust audience testing and quality assurance practices, interviewing and surveying 25 play-testers and resulting in a bug-free debut, out-performing previous student game exhibitions and in-turn redefining production and quality standards.
⯁ Directed narrative structure of a unique and original storyline, along with 8 dialogue transcript documents, Game Design Document, and Technical Design Document.
⯁ Conceptualized and designed 4 unique 2D environments & characters including, 60 pixel game animations and 5 animated cinematic illustrations.
