Kero/yating Zhang - Character design (fantasy theme)

Hi, I am thrilled to enter this contest. The main theme I will be focusing on is fantasy, I will be creating characters in anime style as that is what I mostly draw. The characters I create will be based in a fantasy RPG world setting ^^

The world consists of different races such as elves, beastmen, humans, dwarfs, etc. And each of them have classes or roles like assassins, wizards or swordsman, etc.

So the first character I have made is a beastman wizard, even though they have great sense of smell and hearing ability they are not good at using magic. Their role is more to scout the area for teammates, they have incredible memories which helps them to know what plant can turn into what potion or poisonous potion. Only a tiny portion of beastman can actually use magic to fight, most of them runs away before the danger occurs.

After I have made a rough sketch of the character I begin to drop some random colors on her...

When doing colors I love to add gradients it just makes the colors more prettier I think
