Anes Sabanovic Rookies 2023 Entry
For my entry to The Rookie Awards 2023, I chose to showcase two props and one diorama that I've created in the last couple of months.
WWII Pertrix No. 646 Signal Lamp
Tris count: 15,681
For my first portfolio piece, I decided to push my sub-d skills as well as texturing. I decided to create an old WWII signal lamp, specifically the Pertrix No 646. I used a variety of techniques to achieve the detailed and worn painted case, including hand painting and photo-sourcing for use as stencils in Painter. Alphas and stickers were made by me in Photoshop. I'm proud of how this project turned out, and I'm excited to incorporate what I've learned into future projects.
(I leveraged Blender for efficient packing of my UVs using UVPackMaster3, the piece was rendered in Marmoset, and Megascans assets were used for the set dressing of the diorama.)
Old 18-Piece Socket Set
Texture size: 4096px
Tris count: 16,720
For my second portfolio piece, I made an old 18-piece socket set with its steel case and intricate socket set! This project was a lot of fun to make as I was able to push my texturing skills. I used a variety of techniques to achieve the detailed and worn painted steel case, including hand painting and photo-sourcing for use as stencils in Painter. Alphas and stickers were made by me in Photoshop. I'm proud of how this project turned out, and I'm excited to incorporate what I've learned into future projects.

Claw Hammer
Texture size: 1024x2048Tris count: 1,424
This is a hammer I made in an earlier school assignment that I decided to push a bit further, texture-wise. (I leveraged Blender for efficient packing of my UVs using UVPackMaster3, the piece was rendered in Marmoset.)
Sofia
For my third and final piece, I made a building inspired by the city of Sofia in Bulgaria! I'm proud of how this project turned out, and I'm excited to incorporate what I've learned into future projects.
