Magic Tower Defense
Magic Tower Defense is my solo thesis project, developed while studying at XP University. Created entirely by myself, using Unreal Engine, the game requires players to defend themselves against waves of malicious enemies using magic projectiles.

Progress
When coming up with the initial idea, I drew inspiration from my favorite childhood games. I wanted to choose a genre that I truly enjoyed playing, knowing that motivation can wear out quickly during the prototyping stage.
Ultimately, I decided to create a reimagined 3D experience of the classic "Game of the Year" winner, Plants vs. Zombies. Throughout the development process, I found excitement in constraining the player's power by limiting their moves to the environment's available resources.
To ensure the visual quality of the game, I took inspiration from both Overwatch 2's overall aesthetic and set dressing, as well as The Cycle Frontier's use of roughness to make everything appear as though it was made of plastic.
Overall, this was an incredibly fun, albeit challenging journey. Creating everything from the 3D assets to the programming and game soundtrack required immense effort and dedication.
