Joey was a prototype Personal Protection Assistant that was never released due to a glitch in his programming that led him to go on small rampages. His only shining light was that he never harmed his assigned protection detail, one could say he was over zealous in his need to keep his human Safe!

Hello my name is Damien but every calls me D, I am currently at AIE (Academy of Interactive Entertainment) in Australia, studying a Mid year intake on Game Art & VFX. I am still teaching myself drawing in a digital medium and as such my Thumbnails are not the best but here are the thumbnails I have drawn to help solidify the ideas I have running around inside my head. I've also included a reference board that helped flesh out the ideas that were running around inside my head.

I ended up combining some of the concept shapes into something I believe is simple yet has the potential for a lot of Character.
I asked my Children to give him a name and as so I would like to present you all with "Joey" a personal protection assistant :)

So here is where I am at at the end of Day 1, this is all still a fairly new process to me but I am enjoying myself immensely.
After the first Render I realized that I had unknowingly combined several of my favourite Robotic characters: KVN, EVE & GIR
I have some extra details I will add tomorrow and then begin on the texturing process but overall I am loving this little guy!

I have added some extra details including some different eyes I can add for different emotives and will render some out and share in the Discord but for now here is my result for this Contest.
I hope you like it as much as I do :)
