UA School Uniform
The brief for this project was to create my favorite character (Tokoyami from My Hero Academia) in 3D. In this post l show you the clothes.
UA School Uniform (from My Hero Academia)
The initial idea for this project was to create my favorite character from "My Hero Academia" series in 3D. After finishing a generalist CGI course I decided to follow the whole workflow starting from sculpting, modeling, retopology, UV, rigging, posing, texturing, modeling and simulation of clothes, lighting, rendering and post production. In this specific post I will publish only the part about clothes.
I started by taking both realistic and manga references, from which I extracted the color palette
Since it was my first time using software as marvelous, I am definitely satisfied with the result
These renders are done with a very simple light set on Arnold
Details
Here I retopologized the mesh with attention to the stitches creating loop faces on the seams, so that I have a good control of the mesh

These renders show the fit of the uniform on the (work in progress) character
These maps generated on Substance Painter were used to render on Arnold
Here a simulation of the final pose (that will be ready soon)

I also decided to create a T-shirt to make the outfit more believable, despite it is not taken from the manga
