Alba Izquierdo - Futuristic Axe
This is the first complex hard surface model I made. Hopefully the first of many more I'll be working on. Original concept art credit goes to Anton Lavrushkin.
Hi! I'm Alba Izquierdo,
I'm a 3D modeling and texturing student currently finishing my master's degree in Voxel School. I started modeling during late 2021, and I've found out I'm really passionate about modeling props. This is the showcase of my best piece, a futuristic two-handed axe. The credit for the original concept art goes to Anton Lavrushkin.
During the process of making this asset, I learnt how to get a low poly and a high poly model so I could bake maps later. I modeled it in 3DS Max 2022.
I created the textures for this model in Substance Painter, software that I learnt to use these last months. Then I arranged some renders in Marmoset Toolbag 4.
My goal now is to continue modeling props and weapons, adapting them to fit in a videogame, and creating textures for them. I want to create a good portfolio with a more of these artworks so one day I may be able to get a job as a professional 3D artist.
