The Orc Hunters

After the war with the humans reached stalemate, the remaining orcs isolated themselves in a desolate island thriving on whatever the sea provided, but some others strived for more.

They dared to challenge the fiercest sea monsters using their war expertise and whatever tools they had remaining to craft deadly weapons and conquer the sea.

First of all, the fishing spears! 

My main inspiration came from the big harpoons used for whale hunting.

 I wanted it to have a handcrafted feel, where the materials are just old parts of hunted monsters or recycled weapons and tools.

In fact, this is the main theme for most of the props I made for this project. Everything follows the keywords: Massive, Handcrafted , Brute and Intimidating.

Home Sweet Home.

For the orcs nothing is to be discarded, not even the carcasses of their prey.

This "basket" is perfect for holding and displaying the latest catch.

Another personal project

If you have reached this far, I would like to share with you another personal project I worked on for school last year.  It's more character design focused.

My goal was to create a character and her sidekick that could be playable characters in a videogame.

This fictional game has a big focus on exploration and adventure with crafting as a tool to explore the world, with minimal combat.

It's inspired by many of my favourite games like Outerwilds, Zelda and Minecraft.

Meet Erica: a young, curious and creative engineer who's too honest for her own good that can't stand a second without sharing with you some new facts she learned about the universe.

Meet Léo, Erica's little brother: a shy and emotional yet very curious kid who's always dragged around by his big sis. He really enjoys making some tasty meals.

This is where they live with their blacksmith father.
