Happy Chinese New Year 2022!
A Chinese New Year greeting card done for the year of the tiger.
May everything go well and a prosperous tiger year ahead!
Software used: Maxon Cinema 4D, Redshift Renderer, Adobe After Effects
Concept: The colour Orange —— Mandarins & Tigers
It all started from an urge to model an orange and the prosperous greeting “柿柿如意” (a word play on “事事如意” which means may everything goes smoothly)
Greeting 1 (with orange) : orange persimmon goes as planned~
Greeting 2 (with tiger): tiger year lucky lucky!
3D Modelling & Animation, Character Design
Designed both tiger and orange to be round and cute, with hand-drawn textures inspired by tiger prints.
Experience the S21
A school assignment to produce a series of styleframes as a concept pitch, for the promo of the new released Samsung S21. To promote key features of the phone such as the audio, screen, 5G, as well as an ending screen for the call to action.
Concept: Abstract visuals accompanied with captions of the features
Visuals that convey a cool exciting mood, drawing viewers’ attention. The phone’s functions are highlighted with the use of typography.
Software used: Adobe After Effects, Red Giant Trapcode and Universe Suite
On the Roll with S21
A school assignment to produce a series of styleframes as a concept pitch, for the promo of the new released Samsung S21. To promote key features of the phone such as the premium design, audio, battery life, as well as an ending screen for the call to action.
Concept: Minimalist, 3D, Flow & motion
Using geometric shapes and motion to symbolise each of the phone functions. Light-hearted approach to appeal to the young generation, with the use of pastel colours. The consistent ball design guides viewers through the video.
