The Blood Cultist

Splash art illustration of my original character, Samuel, A bloodbending cultist serving the devil. 

This was my first time creating a composition with multiple people which proved to be quite a challenge. 

I added another element of the blood magic in the foreground for mre depth in the illustration. Furthermore I found it served as an interesting storybeat in how it implicates there is more beyond the canvas.

For colours I tend to lean a lot towards opposites on the colour wheel. In this case I used blue and red to guide the viewer around the canvas.
