The "Green Apples" project was inspired originally by an apple tree, then I wished for myself to imagine what it would be like to interpret organic matters into hard surface materials. For this scene, creating an eerie yet not aggressive mood was my focus. My intention was that I did not want this to feel too disturbing that the players will not want to adventure this scene further, unless of course if this were to be an all-out thriller game. 

Starting off with ideation/concepting in a sketchbook, I started blocking out piece by piece in 3ds max and UE4. Throughout the entire project, I would say finalizing the concepts and sketches was most difficult for me because of countless issues I ran into. Thanks to my amazing classmates and instructors who provided me with consistent feedbacks, I was able to sort out the issues and solidify the idea/concept so that I can start high poly modelling in Zbrush and Max. Most textures were done in Substance Painter, as well as the trimsheet. For most of the wall, ceiling, and floor panels, I created 2 PBR materials from Substance Designer and vertex painted them in UE4.

Overall this senior project/thesis that I did for my last semester definitely gave me a lot of learning opportunities, and it was exciting to see it come together in the end! Thank you for checking my project out, and if you have any advice or comment please let me know!
