Carl fell in love with films and computer games very early on in his life. This led to an ever-growing interest to combine art and technology which evolved into a career in the movie industry. He specialized in VFX compositing at the Animation Institute of the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.

From there Carl moved into advertising and later feature film production at several major VFX companies. Over the last years, he contributed to numerous projects including the Star Wars franchise, MCU, Dunkirk, Jurassic World and Avatar2 among others.
