Andreja Vuckovic is a Senior Facial Modeller at Weta Digital. He has 18 years’ experience in the VFX industry, creating digital modelling and sculpting for films and commercials. He recently worked on Academy Award-nominated Avengers: Endgame (2019), facial modelling puppets for Captain America, Wasp and Ant-Man. On Alita: Battle Angel (2019) he contributed to the cyborg Alita, re-designing external components and designing and modelling internal bio-mechanical parts. Weta’s creation of the CG character Alita was celebrated with a VES Award.

Other highlights include digital modelling and sculpting on Gemini Man (2019), Justice League (2017), Pete’s Dragon (2016), The BFG (2016), The Adventures of Tintin (2011) and Avatar (2009). Andreja received Annie nominations for his modelling of Smaug in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014) and his modelling of various creatures in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug (2013).

Andreja has a Master’s degree in sculpture and, outside of his work at Weta Digital, he creates portraits and sculpts figures and fantasy creatures in traditional clay.
