Uncover Hidden Talent: Hire the World’s Top New Digital Artists
I’ve always had an interest in games and film since I was a kid, and not because it was just entertaining, but because I saw the artistic qualities. When I realized as an artist, I can also work my way into creating art for film and games, I was hooked! I was always a traditional 2D artist, up until 2019 when I first switched to 3D media. It was a big transition for me as a artist but I fell in love with creating 3D work, and I will always look forward to working with other artists to create art
I was brought up inspired by everything from film to video games to crafts; I just wanted to create from as early on as I can remember. When I graduated high school and began considered my next steps, I did research into what viable careers I could pursue in the visual arts and I came upon CG art at my university. That was when I first saw the potential in being a part of the creative media and entertainment industry, and I have been enjoying learning everyday since.
I was always the 'art kid' growing up and it was the only thing that held my attention. I would ponder over every subject in school but I could never see myself working in either aside from art. My art teacher got me used to competing locally in art contests and festivals and eventually suggested I go to SVA. I had no idea art could be an actually career so I jumped on the opportunity. I knew I wanted to make stories like the ones I grew up on, so I gravitated to art school to pursue a career.
Since an early age, computer animation and video games have always captured my attention. Growing up with animated movies and games, I always wanted to know how they were created. My desire to create has always been an integral part of who I am. Whether it was drawing, animating, or making computer games, I always had the desire to produce something. Investing in my first computer opened a world of creative opportunities. By my senior year of high school, I knew that I wanted to be a CG artist.
Seeing behind-the-scenes work for some of my favorite movies and TV shows like How to Train your Dragon and modern-day cartoons really inspired me to pursue entertainment design and animation. To have the power to create unforgettable characters and then bring them to life sounds like the most incredible job a person could have.
I have always been an artist. I spent a lot of my youth taking every art class I can and gathering as many skills as possible. When I was a sophomore in high school I attended a pre-college program at The School of visual arts for 3D art and animation and fell in love! I worked very hard throughout high school to hone in my portfolio and was accepted to SVA. During my time at SVA I worked as a resident assistant on campus and I also ran the school's official LGBT+ association.
