Currently I'm looking for summer internships in game development, animation, or VFX

I actually realized that I wanted to work in the animation and game industries in a car ride in my junior year of highschool. I have worked in Blender on-and-off since 6th grade on personal projects, but I always imagined that I would end up in some hard STEM field like chemistry. I was talking with my stepdad about behind-the-scenes VFX work in movies, and I mentioned that I wish I could major in something like that but it didn't exist. He was quick to tell me I was wrong, and now here I am!
