
An environment modeled on industry
Founded in 1992 and located in Montreal, the School of Digital Arts, Animation and Design at the University of Québec at Chicoutimi (NAD – UQAC) is a university campus offering academic programs and research in 3D animation, visual effects, design and digital arts. During the past 26 years, the school educated thousands of 3D animators working for reputable companies around the world in different industries (or various sectors): film, television and video games. This collaboration between NAD and UQAC, which dates back to 2008, allows more than 350 students to access an offer of unique university programs in Québec each year. On this campus, several programs are offered: Certificate in 3D animation and digital design, Bachelor degree in 3D animation and digital design, modules in video game and in visual effects for film and video, Specialized Diploma in Narrative Video Game Design, Master’s degree in art, Creative module, focused on 3D animation and digital design There are also many other courses designed to respond to the industry requirements, developed in collaboration with industry stakeholders and taught by its leaders available at the NAD-UQAC School.
