Shawn Mendes-Character 3D Modeling
This is my character likeness modeling project. Modeled in Maya and sculpted in Zbrush.
Here is my Character 3D Modeling project I did in Year 3 in The One Academy. The person I refer to is Shawn Mendes because he is my favorite singer.
Firstly, I gather references to help me study the facial muscles and anatomy.
Head Modeling
I used Zbrush to sculpt the head but it was quite challenging for me to get the correct proportion in the first few weeks. After sculpting, I used Wrap to convert the topology to XYZ head base mesh. I created some brushes to help me sculpt the pores of face. I also used XYZ texture for my character and I refined it to fit my character in Photoshop and Zbrush.
Eye Sculpting
I did the base of the eyeball in Maya and I moved on to Zbrush to sculpt the iris and texture the eyeball.
XGEN
I used Xgen to create the eyebrows, hair, and vellus hair.
I also used Marvelous Designer to do the clothes and retopo them in Maya.
Skin test in different HDRs
Rendering
I used Arnold Renderer in Maya for rendering.
