Remnant of the old King.

The ancestral god of the world (a chaotic and dark god) spread destruction on the world and fed on the souls of living beings torn from the hordes of demons he spread across the earth.

The bravest of men, having reached the peak of his abilities after countless battles for survival, was crowned king of all peoples and set off to fight the enemy at the source.

Arriving at the breach (located in a temple at the center of the earth) he managed to defeat the power of the deity and sacrificed his heart to bind his soul to the breach to seal the darkness.

After ages, he remains there, in the antechamber of the hall that contains the dimensional breach, the dark power to which he is linked has inextricably corrupted his body and his mind.

While maintaining the authority and royalty that distinguished him, his appearance is more similar to that of a demon than a man.

His equipment, like his physique, has become distorted, his armor has become one with his flesh that seems like crumbled rock, his broadsword is chipped and blackened, the crown he wore on his head has become a tangle of horns on his his face now totally expressionless.

His consciousness as well as his humanity have vanished completely, all that remains to animate his body is the residue of the willpower that guided him in the past.

Thus those who attempt to appropriate divine power or seal the calamity again will find the remnant of the old king sitting on a crumbling stone throne.
