Cutscene storyboard – Secret Room
A storyboard for a task where we designed a cutscene for our shop merchants entering a secret room. My merchant’s room holds a lot of sentimental value and nostalgia, so I explored ways to use certain colours and lighting to convey her contrasting emotions before and after entering it.

Summary of the secret room:
A study that serves as the merchant’s last line of connection to her memories of the fairy community she was ousted from. Full of lush, well-loved plants, salvaged enchanted trinkets, and ancient journals and spell books, she visits the room when she feels homesick, so she can live in the past she desperately wishes to return to for a fleeting moment.
