Texturing Practice_ 01 Kriss Vector

This was a project we started at New3DGE when we were learning substance painter, I decided to push the texturing on this asset provided by the school and have fun with it, I also watched Tim Bergholz's tutorial on his texturing process and folder organization.

The process was pretty simple, it's like in the other fields in art, you start with the global forms and then go with little details. It's still easy to make mistake by making too much noise and detail where there should be rest areas.
I then rendered it With Marmoset Toolbag, using some advice from Emre Karabacak who posted an article on Marmoset Toolbag's website.

Texturing Practice_ 02 Ak 47

This asset was provided by Tim Bergholz, I only used it to train myself in texturing

with substance painter, I did not do the modeling.

after working on it, I then rendered it With Marmoset Toolbag.

Texturing Practice_ 03 M9A1 S.T.A.R.S

This asset was also provided by Tim Bergholz, I only used it to train myself in texturing

with substance painter, I did not do the modeling.

I decided to make a smart material of the weapons to go faster and have a nice starting point, and reproduce the S.T.A.R.S's gun of the Resident Evil series.

I used photoshop to do the engravings and imported them within Substance to control

the depth of the engravings(serial number, writing, and the seal.)

I then rendered it With Marmoset Toolbag.
