Stylized Windmill UE5 - Wayfinder Fan Art

Here is my latest environment made at Artside School !

It was my final studies project and I absolutely wanted to make a fan art of the upcoming game from Airship Syndicate : Wayfinder. I always loved the artistic direction of their games and it is no exception for this one. I was astonished by the foliage of the game and the overall ambiances while playing the beta. So I tried my best in 3 months to replicate what I've experienced and saw with a huge handpainted part that I loved.

Stylized Foliage

For my final project, I wanted to experiment with stylized foliage, and I had an awesome concept in mind from the beginning for that, one from the master of his art, Leksø Tiger. I was heavily inspired to create the same composition and foliage shapes, while still respecting the artistic direction of Wayfinder.

It was so cool to try to give life to such an artstyle and give my best to match the references. Especially on the last piece I had to create to finish the school studies.

Breakdown

This was a really fun project that could never have happened without my so skilled mentors : Florian Potier, Romain Durand, Geoffrey Rosin, Anthony Lemetayer and Sacha Veyrier for around 3 months.
