Earth is dead. The remaining humans with the power of technology have been scouting the proximities of our former planet for any piece of land that we could call home again. Maybe this time we would take more care of it. Maybe we learned from our mistakes. Or maybe not. We haven't been this far from our home before, and planet after planet I'm beginning to lose hope. The hope I lose is not wether we'll find a place to live and prosper once again. We're already thousands and thousands of light years away from the celestial body that gave us life, our first home, that in Kilometers have more zeroes than one can count. I'm doing okay aboard the Presto Station, even though I'm getting a bit tired of all the cloned food we're having. They say it maintains the nutritional value from the original one, but taste? That seems to fade with each copy they make. But up here, if we destroy ourselves it's okay, at least we're not taking down an entire ecosystem and several other beautiful species because of our obsess for power and dominance.

The Scouters are coming back from Aurora now. A planet that preliminary information indicated a high level of oxygen and nitrogen on its lower atmosphere. I hope its waters is easy to treat to become drinkable too, that would be essential. They managed to recreate water using some algae, but trust me, it isn't the same thing. People are very excited for their findings down there. Me? I'm just concerned. Concerned for another planet and God knows how many beings, if there are any, that will have to face our devastating nature. May we be able to put an end on this exodus for now. I just hope I won't be around to see the next one.
