Art that Protects the Intellect

This type of helmet is called Kabuto (兜, 冑).

It was fascinating to work on this element. The challenge of this project was to work the textures in the best possible way so that they could give dignity to the materials used and try to demonstrate the richness of the Japanese culture.

It was used by ancient Japanese warriors and in later periods it has become an important part of the traditional Japanese armour, worn by the samurai class and their retainers in feudal Japan.

2- Sculpting and laces in ZBrush

3- Bake and Textures in Substance Painter

4- Layout in Maya

5- Lighting in Maya

6- Shading in Maya

7- Render in Arnold

8- Post Production in Photoshop
